Ok, I got it
Whatever Page

When I first got this car several years ago now, I was having major issues with my heater control and this lasted the better part of winter.Every now and then during the cold season I wouldn't always have heat.I noticed that if I applied some pressure on the temperature control it would all of a sudden kick in (heat) and then stop. It took some time to pin point the problem...

You might think that the plastic cover over the wires is missing.Well for the purpose of the repair I had to remove it.
As you can see I found the culprit.A hot wire at the far bottom right hand side was not tight enough in its hole.I removed the wire and enlarged the pin with a pointer, this of course helped the pin to be tight to put in and solved my problem.
Later in the season I had another issue with the heat but this time it was the Mono Valve...You will see on a previous page the replacement on this part.
Mind you this problem was found on my 126 (300 SD) 1983 but it could happen on a 123 chassis also.
Good Luck

This is where the problem originated.
Wiring harness on the R/H had a wire not properly crimped to the harness.
This was the wire in question.
