Tools needed.....
Flat head screw driver
1/4 inch ratchet
8 and 10mm socket
19mm wrench
10mm wrench
Whats wrong with these pictures?
There are 4 clips holding the radiator in place. Two on the left and twoon th right of the rad.
The hose leading from the expansion tank to the radiator broke off !!
Remove all four clips holding the rad in place by using a simple flat head screw driver and prying upwards.
Now the lower part of the radiator...
There are two hoses for the transmission oil and the lower rad hose and the hose going from the expansion tank to the lower rad.
They all have to be unscrewed.
The transmission oil hose you need a 19mm wrench
Now the second transmission oil line. You might want to use the caps provided with the new radiator to cap off the oil plugs on the rad. There is room to place the rubber hose in a position so that it wont leak.
Lower rad and expansion tank hose removed.
Top view of the expansion tank hose and the lower rad hose.
Unscrew the bolt holding the engine oil cooler to the radiator. One on top and one below the rad.
Unscrew the upper rad hose.
Drain the rad from the drain plug located on the lower left side.
Don't forget one on top and one under the rad.
Once the radiator is empty and all the hoses and clips have been removed, gently push the shroud towards the engine and lift the radiator upwards.
Lower one.
Installation is the the opposite of what we have just covered.
Don't forget to add antifreeze if any was lost during the process.
Let the engine warm up to its fullest with the heater on full blast and leave the expansion tank cap off .refill if necessary.Put the cap back on.
