Locate and stop an engine oil leak.
This engine has been leaking oil for a few weeks now.
I had already located the leak last week when I was doing the HeliCoil repair on the transmission housing.
The leak was coming from the metal tube under the air filter housing.Reason being was that the metal tube had moved to the side letting oil spill over the turbo and down the side of the engine.
Now why did the tube move away from under the air filter housing?
Well the rubber mounts (anti vibration) broke off.I will show you how to replace them on another page.

I knew the oil leak was coming from the top of the engine but had no clue as to why.
I removed the air filter housing completely.
I used a good amount of engine cleaner on top of the turbo to see where exactly the oil leak was coming from.
And thats when I noticed that the oil leak was coming from the metal tube not sitting properly under the air filter housing.
The rubber mounts where broken....
After removing the air filter housing I noticed right a way that there was an important amount of oil on top of the turbo.
I cleaned the air filter housing with engine cleaner, and reassembled everything.
This part is done....Now lets move on to replacing the rubber mounts ...
